Ottobald Hans Carl Freiherr and Herr von Werthern , Count and Herr von Werthern-Beichlingen since 1840 (born October 13, 1794 in Drackendorf ; † May 10, 1878 in Beichlingen ) was a Prussian landowner and politician.

Ottobald von Werthern came from the Thuringian noble family Werthern . He was the eldest son of Christian Ferdinand Georg Freiherr von Werthern (1738–1800) and his second wife Juliane Luise Cäcilie, born Freiin von Ziegesar-Drakendorf (1773–1831) and thus head of the Georgian line of the Werthern family, which began in 1840 the Prussian count status hereditary in Primogenitur was raised.

From his marriage to Luise, née Freiin von Rotberg (1794–1857), he had three children in 1816 :

Life

Ottobald von Werthern had not only inherited goods in Frohndorf and Kölleda from his father, who died early , but also in 1806 the county of Beichlingen with the headquarters of Beichlingen Castle and Großneuhausen from an extinct line of Werthern .

He was the upper chamberlain of the Grand Ducal Saxon , royal Prussian chamberlain and prelate, and later canon of the Naumburg bishopric. From 1854 (entry 1855) until his death he was a member of the Prussian mansion with a hereditary seat assigned to the family.
