Thirteen Senses is an indie rock band from Cornwall, England. The melancholic soulful guitar sound of their debut "The Invitation" is reminiscent of other British bands like Coldplay , Starsailor , Keane or the Icelandic band Sigur Rós . The musical closeness to the band Feeder is likely to be the greatest . The songs of the Thirteen Senses are full of emotion, melody and a dreamy atmosphere.

Career

Thirteen Senses started out as a school band under the name "Soul Magician". They released a four-track EP called "Inside A Healing Mind". This was followed by another EP called "No Other Life Is Attractive" with five titles. Thirteen Senses' first album was "Falls In The Dark". The actual first album is "The Invitation". Four of them were also on "Falls In The Dark".

Thirteen Senses released their first single Thru The Glass in March 2004 . But it wasn't until the follow-up single Do No Wrong that the band made it into the British single charts for the first time in June 2004 (No. 38). The band landed a similar success with the title Into The Fire (35th place), which was played in the pilot episode of Grey's Anatomy .

Thirteen Senses achieved their commercial breakthrough in January 2005 with the re-release of their debut single. Then "The Invitation" appeared in Germany.

In April 2007 the second album Contact was released , accompanied by the new single All The Love In Your Hands . On the new album, the band stays true to their style, but also tries new, faster numbers.

In December 2013 the band announced that their sixth album, A Strange Encounter , would be out in February 2014 .
