Thomas-Sönke Kluth

Thomas-Sönke Kluth (born July 31, 1960 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer and politician ( FDP ) in Hamburg. From 2011 to 2015 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

After attending school and high school in his hometown, he studied law, political science and economics there and at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 1989, after completing his legal training, he was admitted to the bar. He is currently managing partner in a law firm, tax consultants and auditors. From 1989 to 1991, Kluth worked as a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law . In 1992 he was with a dissertation on "Telecommunications as a subject matter of European Community law" doctorate .

Political party

Kluth joined the FDP at the age of 16 and held various positions in its former youth organization, German Young Democrats . In 1982 he resigned from the FDP in protest against the Bonn Wende and took part in the founding of the Liberal Democrats . When in the course of 1983 their failure became apparent, he left the LD again. In 1990 he returned to the FDP. From 2001 to 2003 he was a member of the federal board of the Federal Association of Liberal Medium-Sized Enterprises . In the federal election in 2002 he ran for third place on the state list and was a direct candidate in the 23 Wandsbek constituency . Kluth has been district chairman of his party in Wandsbek again since 2010 , after having held this office from 2003 to 2005. In 2011 he was elected to the 20th Hamburg citizenship via the state list of the FDP . For professional reasons, he did not run again in the 2015 state election .
