Thomas Alexander Harris
Thomas Alexander Harris ( 1826 - April 9, 1895 in Pewee Valley, Oldham County , Kentucky ) was a prominent Confederate politician .
Harris served in the United States Army during the Mexican-American War . After the secession of his home state Missouri in 1861, he represented it first in the Provisional Confederate Congress and then later in the 1st Confederate Congress .
Harris died in Pewee Valley in 1895 and was subsequently buried in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville , Kentucky.
