Thomas B. Sattig

Thomas Bernd Sattig (* 1971 ) is a German philosophy professor.

life and work

Thomas Sattig studied philosophy and German studies in Tübingen and Stanford from 1991 to 1997 . In 1999 he received the B.Phil. and in 2001 the D.Phil. at Oxford University . From 2002 to 2005 he was a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow and Junior Research Fellow at Brasenose College , Oxford. In 2005 he was visiting professor at the University of California , Los Angeles . From 2005 to 2007 he was Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Tulane University , and from 2007 to 2012 Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis . Since 2012 he has been professor for theoretical philosophy at the University of Tübingen .

Sattig's research focuses on metaphysics , the philosophy of language and the philosophy of mind .
