Thomas Samuel "Tommy" Bennett (born April 1891 in Walton , Liverpool , † January 11, 1923 ) was an English football player .
Bennett played for Halifax Town , Rochdale AFC and Liverpool FC . He came to Liverpool during World War I , during which regional Wartime Leagues were established. Bennett scored 77 goals in 70 Wartime League games.
Bennett played his only game in the First Division in 1919. He fell ill shortly thereafter and died at the age of 31.
