Thomas Eichberger (born August 20, 1993 ) is an Austrian handball goalkeeper .

Career

In his youth Eichberger attended the handball academy of the federal high school hib Graz-Liebenau. In the 2010/11 season , the left-hander ran for ATV Trofaiach in the Handball Bundesliga Austria . The handball goalkeeper has been under contract with HSG Graz since 2011 .

In April 2020 it was announced that Eichberger had signed a two-year contract with ThSV Eisenach . The goalkeeper will play for the Thuringians together with his compatriot Daniel Dicker from the 2020/2021 season .

In October 2018 Eichberger was called up for the first time in the Austrian men's national handball team .

He is on the squad for the European Handball Championship 2020.
