Thomas Enger (born November 21, 1973 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian author and journalist .

Life

Enger grew up in Jessheim and initially studied sport in Oslo. He then worked for a year as a physical education teacher in his hometown. Studies of journalism in Stavanger and history in Oslo followed. From 2000 to 2008 he worked as a journalist for the Norwegian network newspaper Nettavisen .

Engers debut novel "Skinndød" (German title: "Mortal"), which appeared in 2010, was an international success. The crime thriller was the first part of a five-part series about the journalist Henning Juul. The last part (original title: "Banesår" ) appeared in 2015.

Enger lives in Oslo with his wife and two children.
