Thomas Alder

Thomas Erle (born September 16, 1952 in Schwetzingen ) is a German writer .

Life

Thomas Erle grew up in North Baden. He studied mathematics and sports at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg . During this time he was drawn to the world repeatedly on his own, including South and East Asia, North and Latin America, always guided by his strong interest in ethnology, history, art and music of foreign peoples and cultures. After completing additional training in Stuttgart, Thomas Erle began his teaching work, most recently as a teacher at the first German integrative Waldorf school in Emmendingen near Freiburg until 2014 .

A wide variety of publications have been available since 2000. In addition to educational essays and a travel guide, numerous short stories were created . In 2013, the first of several crime novels about the private investigator Lothar Kaltenbach was published, in 2018 'Das Lied der Wächter', a fantasy trilogy from the Black Forest. Thomas Erle is a member of the Syndikat , the association of German-language crime writers.
