Thomas Fischer (born July 13, 1963 in Dresden ) is a former German speed skater and soccer player. As a speed skater, Fischer won several medals at GDR championships for SC Einheit Dresden and was the GDR Spartakiade winner in 1979 . After switching to football, Fischer was three times GDR junior champion with Dynamo Dresden between 1981 and 1983 . Between 1985 and 1989, Fischer played for BSG Chemie Leipzig , BSG Stahl Riesa , FC Vorwärts Frankfurt / Oder and 1. FC Union Berlin , playing 74 games in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of GDR soccer. Association and scored four goals.

Private

Thomas Fischer is married and has four children. He is the managing director of the ticket provider etix.com and lives in Dresden.
