Thomas Cochrane Highet (* 1853 in Ayr , Scotland , † January 28, 1907 ) was a Scottish football and cricketer . The Scottish national football player who was used in the storm was known for his attacking style.

Career as a football player

Thomas Highet, also known as TC Highet , was born in Ayr in south-west Scotland in 1853 . Highet began his active football career in 1875 at Queen's Park, Scotland 's oldest football club. With the club founded on July 9, 1867, he was able to win this with the team at the second edition of the Scottish Cup in 1874/75 . He was able to shine as one of the three goalscorers alongside Angus MacKinnon and Billy MacKinnon in the 3-0 final win against Renton FC . Highet won another title with the Spiders at the third edition of the competition in 1875/76 .

Thomas Highet completed four international matches for the Scottish national football team between 1875 and 1878 in which he was able to score a goal. Three of the four games were played against England and one against Wales .

Career as a cricketer

As a cricketer , he played for the Clydesdale Cricket Club , as well as Ayr Eglinton and Granville.
