Thomas Joseph Riley (born November 30, 1900 in Waltham , Massachusetts , USA ; † August 17, 1977 ) was auxiliary bishop in Boston .

Life

Thomas Joseph Riley received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Boston on May 20, 1927 .

On October 31, 1959, Pope John XXIII appointed him . as titular bishop of Regiae and auxiliary bishop in Boston. The Archbishop of Boston, Cardinal Richard Cushing , donated him episcopal ordination on December 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Boston, Eric Francis MacKenzie and Jeremiah Francis Minihan .

On June 28, 1976, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Thomas Joseph Riley for reasons of age.
