Thomas Kemper (State Secretary)

Thomas Kemper (born December 4, 1951 in Schmallenberg- Oberkirchen ) is a former German political official . From 2005 to 2006 he was State Secretary for Media and Government Spokesman in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life and work

Kemper studied German and history. After passing the second state examination, he worked as a freelancer for WDR from 1983 to 1984 . He then moved to the parliamentary group of the North Rhine-Westphalian CDU and was deputy press spokesman there until 1986 , after which he was press spokesman until 1992. At the same time, he also acted as press spokesman for the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia from 1987 . He held these offices until he started working for Harpen AG in 1993. After the change of government in North Rhine-Westphalia in June 2005, Kemper became government spokesman and state secretary for media under Prime Minister Jürgen Rüttgers . On September 1, 2006, he was replaced by Andreas Krautscheid . In October 2006, Kemper took over the management of the new corporate communication and energy policy department at Stadtwerke Düsseldorf , from 2009 as a general representative.

Thomas Kemper is married and has three children.
