Thomas Krettenauer

Thomas Krettenauer (* 1958 in Augsburg ) is a German musicologist and professor of music and its didactics at the University of Paderborn .

Life

Thomas Krettenauer studied concert guitar , double bass and piano at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg from 1978 . From 1980 to 1984 he completed a teaching degree for secondary schools in the subjects of music and German at the University of Augsburg , which he completed in 1984 with the first state examination. In addition, he studied musicology, literature and German didactics from 1982 to 1986 . After passing the second state examination, he was a school teacher from 1987 to 1995. In 1995 he received his doctorate. phil. in musicology. From 1995 he worked as a research assistant at the Seminar for Music and its Didactics at the University of Paderborn. In 2002 he became professor for musicology / music didactics at the University of Education in Freiburg im Breisgau , and since 2004 he has been professor for music and its didactics at the University of Paderborn. Since 2005 he has been heading the newly created Bachelor / Master course "Popular Music and Media".
