Thomas Lödler

Thomas Lödler (born May 5, 1973 in Čakovec ) is a former ski racer . He started for the ÖSV first, but moved to Croatia in 1996 .

As a technology specialist, Lödler was a junior driver of the ÖSV and first used in the European Cup . In 1994 he was 6th in the giant slalom discipline. However, he did not make the leap into the World Cup, so he switched to the Croatian Ski Association in 1996 . Lödler competed in the first World Cup race in October 1996 in Sölden . Overall, he only achieved World Cup points once - in January 1998 in Saalbach-Hinterglemm as the 26th of a giant slalom under difficult weather conditions. These were also the first World Cup points for an alpine skier of the Croatian Ski Association before the World Cup debut of the siblings Janica and Ivica Kostelić .

After the 1998/1999 season, Lödler ended his active skiing career. He then worked as a trainer for the ÖSV and as a hotelier in Lech. In December 2012, Thomas Lödler opened the EXKLUSIV ski school in Berg in Oberlech.

Major events

At the 1998 Winter Olympics from Nagano Lödler was a member of the Croatian team and ranked 23rd in the giant slalom. He was also in action at two Alpine World Ski Championships ( Sestriere 1997 and Vail 1999 ), but only managed one result - 26th place in the giant slalom as well.
