Thomas Löhning

Thomas Löhning (* 1973 in Stralsund ) is a German painter , graphic artist and draftsman .

life and work

Löhning studied from 1991 to 1998 at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle with Frank Ruddigkeit , Thomas Rug and Ronald Paris . In 1996 he completed a year of study at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig with Rolf Münzner and Rolf Kuhrt . In 1998 he obtained a diploma in painting and graphics. He has been working as a freelance artist since 1999. Löhning became known for his detailed, often surreal drawings and etchings , which he executed in line style.

In 2004 he received the poster award of the Handel Festival in Halle .
