Thomas Löser (born February 9, 1972 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Löser completed his Abitur at the Dresden Kreuzschule . He studied art history and history. Then he started working as a high school teacher, teaching history and art.

Löser was elected to the Dresden City Council for the first time in 2009 and took over the parliamentary group chairmanship of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in 2013 . He successfully stood for re-election to the city parliament in 2014 and 2019.

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , Löser prevailed in the Dresden 5 constituency with 24.1 percent of the direct votes against the CDU and AfD and was the first direct candidate of the Greens in Dresden and thus moved into the Saxon state parliament .

Löser lives in Dresden, is married and has three children.
