Roger E. Schärer

Roger Eric Schärer (* 1947 ) is a Swiss manager and former consul of Poland . He was an advisor to Federal Councilor Johann Schneider-Ammann .

Training and activities

Schärer studied law .

In 2001 Schärer worked as a manager at Credit Suisse . At Credit Suisse Financial Services he was Director Head Executive Relations . Schärer was also a director at Winterthur Insurance . After his early retirement, Schärer worked for the Federal Council at the interface between politics , business and the army . From 2006 to 2010 he was personal advisor and speechwriter to Federal Councilor Johann Schneider-Ammann . He was also a consultant to the Ammann Group . Later he was also consul of Poland .

Swiss Army

Schärer completed a dragoon - recruit school in Aarau . After the non-commissioned school he made a military career. He is Colonel a. D. the Swiss Army .

Memberships

Schärer is a member of the FDP Meilen , a former member of the FDP District Executive Committee Meilen and President of the Swiss European Networking Agency .

Private

Today Schärer lives in Feldmeilen ( Canton Zurich ) and in Trin in the Canton of Graubünden . He has a son and a daughter.
