Thomas Leonhardt

Thomas Leonhardt (born April 7, 1966 in Zwickau ) is a former soccer player.

Athletic career

Thomas "Leo" Leonhardt's career began with the offspring of the BSG Sachsenring Zwickau . From 1983 to 1996 Leonhardt played in the first team of the BSG and FSV Zwickau in the GDR Oberliga , GDR League and 2nd Bundesliga as a striker and midfielder. After the 1995/96 season he moved to Chemnitzer FC in the regional league. He ended his playing career at SV 1874 Vielau, VfL Wildenfels and SV 1946 Mosel.

During his time in Zwickau he played 119 point games and scored 8 goals.

Life

Leonhardt attended the Bielschule , a ten-class polytechnic high school in Niederplanitz , which he graduated in 1982. One of his sons is the stadium announcer and football commentator Lenny Leonhardt .
