Thomas Peters or Thomas Maria Peters (born May 31, 1969 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German actor and director .

Life

Thomas Peters trained as an actor from 1993 to 1996 and graduated in Munich . After first roles at the Stadttheater Hagen , he worked from 1998 to 1999 with the British theater company Forced Entertainment from Sheffield in the 24-hour performance Who can sing a song to unfrighten me? together. This was followed by his first permanent engagement at the Ingolstadt Theater . From 2002 to summer 2007, Thomas Peters was under contract as an actor and director at the Augsburg Theater . There he played roles such as Mephistopheles in Goethe's Faust or Jesus in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar . His first directorial work included Shockheaded Peter from the Tiger Lillies , Norway.today from Igor Bauersima and Biography: A Game by Max Frisch . In summer 2007 he moved to the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich. He has been working as a freelance actor and director since 2012. He was and can be seen in productions at the Frankfurt Comedy, at the Hof, Pforzheim and Trier theaters, at the Mannheim National Theater and at the Nuremberg and Wiesbaden State Theaters. In 2019 he staged Die Fledermaus at the Chiemsee Summer Festival in Immling.

In addition, he still plays leading and supporting roles in numerous film and television productions. Among other things, he worked with Doris Dörrie and Matti Geschonneck .

Thomas Peters lives in Munich.
