Thomas Nückel

Thomas Nückel (born December 20, 1962 in Herne ) is a German politician of the FDP and journalist. He has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament since the state elections in 2012 .

Nückel worked for the WAZ , on the Sunday news and for agencies. After moving into the television business, he worked briefly for Sat.1 before the local time of the WDR came. There he moderated the section “Our Street” and produced other contributions. He also worked as a spokesperson for documentaries, radio plays and audio books. Nückel is one of the founders of the small theater and has played in various plays himself. Since 2008 he has been a member of the media commission of the State Agency for Media North Rhine-Westphalia .

In 1978 Nückel became a member of the FDP. Nückel is chairman of the FDP parliamentary group of the Ruhr regional association and treasurer of the FDP Herne. He ran as a direct candidate in the state elections in 2010 , the 2012 and 2017 in the state constituency of Herne I , receiving 3.8% (2010), 3.1% (2012) and 9.3% (2017) of the first votes. In the state elections in 2010 and 2012, he was in 16th place on the state list, in 2017 he ran for 15th place in 2012 and in 2017 he moved into the state parliament above his list. Nückel is secretary in the state parliament.
