Thomas Nentwich (born December 22, 1975 ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .

Career

Nentwich began his career at SV Würmla in Lower Austria . In 1995 he came to VSE St. Pölten . After the financial decline of the VSE, Nentwich remained loyal to the club until 2000. At that time he moved to the Bundesliga club SV Ried . Nentwich had his first Bundesliga appearance on April 8, 2000 against Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz . Ried won 4-0. In 2002/03 he was relegated to the second division with the Rieders.

After returning to the SKN St. Pölten in 2005 in the regional league. With St. Pölten, he made it to the second highest division in 2008 . In 2009 he ended his active career.

Coaching career

After retiring from his career, he became the coach of the national division and his former youth club SV Würmla in December 2011 . After the 2011/12 season he left Würmla for work. In summer 2013 he became Jochen Fallmann's assistant trainer at SKN St. Pölten Juniors. In March 2015, he and Fallmann took over St. Pölten, who played in the second-highest league. After the 2014/15 season he left St. Pölten. In October 2016 he was again with Fallmann coach of St. Pölten, who had meanwhile been promoted to the Bundesliga. In December 2016, Fallmann became head coach on his own.
