Ludwig Halauska
Ludwig Halauska (born September 24, 1827 in Waidhofen an der Ybbs , † April 29, 1882 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter.
Life
Ludwig Halauska attended the Stiftsgymnasium in Seitenstetten and then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Thomas Ender and Franz Steinfeld . He mainly painted landscapes from Lower Austria, the Austrian Alpine regions and the Salzkammergut . In his late creative period he approached the painting style of Austrian mood impressionism . Ludwig Halauska died in Vienna in 1882.
In 1957 Halauskagasse in Vienna- Liesing was named after him.
