Thomas Philipp Freiherr von Murach zu Niedermurach (* 15th century or 16th century; † 1584 ) was Lord of the Hofmark Niedermurach .

His father was Hanns von Murach . Philipp married Felicitas von Redwitz. Their marriage remained without male offspring.

Possessions

Since 1561 he and his brother Albrecht owned the Murach Hofmarks in Niedermurach. In 1574 he was the sole owner of these Hofmarks shares. He also had properties in Altfalter , Nottersorf , Wagnern and Fischbach .

Owner of the Pellerschloss

In 1573 Thomas Philipp acquired the Pellerschloss in Fischbach near Nuremberg from the Schmittmayrs. In the Second Margrave War in 1552/53, the castle was almost completely destroyed. Schmittmayrs have already started to rebuild. Philipp von Murach and his wife completely restored the castle. Your alliance coat of arms has been preserved on the south side. In 1609 the castle went to the Imhoff . From 1527–1557 it belonged to the Welsers . Today the Pellerschloss is owned by the city of Nuremberg. It is the most beautifully preserved moated castle in the Nuremberg area.
