Thomas Pietzsch

Fritz Thomas Pietzsch (born September 12, 1952 in Burgstädt ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1991 to 2008 he was a member of the Saxon State Parliament .

Career

Pietzsch spent his school days and youth in Königshain , Maxen and Karl-Marx-Stadt ( Chemnitz ). After graduating from high school, he began studying "Physics / Electronic Components" in Karl-Marx-Stadt, which he successfully completed. He then worked in the Freiberg capacitor factory, in the VEB BMK Süd KBI Zwickau and in the VEB Sachsenring Zwickau . In 1990 Pietzsch joined the CDU. In the election to the People's Chamber in March 1990 , he was deputy election supervisor in Zwickau.

In 1991 Pietzsch became the Saxon state chairman of the Christian-Democratic workforce and a member of the Saxon state parliament. Pietzsch always entered the state parliament through a direct mandate and most recently represented the constituency of Zwickau . He was a member of the Home and Economic Committee. From 2001 to 2004 Pietzsch was also deputy chairman of the parliamentary group.

In the autumn of 2007, Pietzsch came into the investigators' sights because of the possession of child pornography . His private computer was seized as part of a nationwide campaign against child pornography. The Zwickau public prosecutor's office then initiated criminal proceedings against Pietzsch.

At the beginning of February 2008, Pietzsch resigned from his position as a member of the state parliament. Officially, this step was justified with health problems.

At the end of April 2008, Pietzsch accepted a penalty order for 100 daily rates of 50 euros. Despite the final penalty order, Pietzsch denies his guilt. He only wanted to do research on the Internet as a domestic political expert on the subject of child pornography.
