Thomas Pretzl (born April 13, 1975 in Ingolstadt ) is a German trade unionist and works council chairman of Airbus Defense and Space GmbH based in Manching.

Since 2010 he has been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board , Chairman of the General Works Council of the Airbus Defense and Space Division and Deputy Chairman of the Group Works Council . He is a member of the SE works council of Airbus Group SE ( European works council ) and co-chair of the European Committee Airbus Defense and Space.

Career

Thomas Pretzl began his professional career in 1991 at Airbus Defense and Space in Manching in what was then Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) with an apprenticeship as an aircraft mechanic . After training as a mechanical engineer and technical business administrator , he was most recently active in the Eurofighter Logistics division. During his training he was involved as a youth representative . Since 1998 he has been a member of the Manchinger Works Council and in 2010 he took over the chairmanship of the Works Council. In 2018, Thomas Pretzl was again unanimously elected to head the Manchinger Works Council. He is a member of the local executive committee of IG Metall Ingolstadt.
