Thomas Reiland (born March 18, 1967 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Reiland started with club football at FV Kindsbach in the west of the Palatinate and later switched to FSV Salmrohr . His next stop was 1. FC Kaiserslautern, where he, outgrown his youth, played for the amateurs in the Oberliga Südwest. In 1988 he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for FC 08 Homburg . The 1988/89 season ended with the rise of the FCH in the Bundesliga, Reiland came on 13 missions of which he was substituted eleven times. After only one season in Homburg, he went back to the Oberliga Südwest and joined SV Edenkoben , who had recently taken part in the promotion games to the 2nd Bundesliga as a Oberliga champion, but could not prevail there. After a year at SV Edenkoben (7th place), he went to league competitor Wormatia Worms , where he only stayed one season (14th place, 33 games, 6 goals). Reiland switched to FSV Salmrohr, with whom he became league champion. From 1993 he was again active for the amateurs of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, with whom he first played in the Oberliga, 1995/96 in the Regionalliga and 1996/97 again in the Oberliga Südwest. After his career ended in 1997, he became the coach of the FCK youth team.
