Thomas Roßberger (born October 2, 1963 ) is a former German soccer player , manager and company founder.

Career

In the 1983/84 season Roßberger was under contract with Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg . On the last two game days, when the club was already relegated, he came to two short appearances under coach Heinz Höher . In the summer of 1984 Roßberger went to the second division club SV Darmstadt 98 , for whom he played his first and last league game on matchday 1 when he was substituted on in the away game at SC Freiburg in the final phase. In the following season he moved to SpVgg Plattling  in the Bayernliga , the third highest division at the time. In the 1987/88 season Roßberger played again in the 2nd Bundesliga with SpVgg Bayreuth .

After completing his studies in sports economics at the University of Bayreuth  , Roßberger worked for adidas AG for twelve years in various management positions in Germany and abroad. After several years as managing director of international corporations, he founded the European Sportsmanagement Academy GbR in 2011 , which offers training courses in the field of sports management primarily for professional and competitive athletes. Numerous well-known professionals from the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga have already completed their training there for a second career as a sports manager.

In 2015 Roßberger received his doctorate in economics .
