Thomas Street
Thomas Street (also Streete ; * 1621 ; † 1689 ) was an English astronomer.
Life
Thomas Street's exact life dates are apparently not clearly clarified. By John Aubrey he is on 5 March 1621 Scottish been born Castle Lyons and died on 17 August 1689 the Canon Row in Westminster. He was Elias Ashmole's employee in the excise office.
Based on the Kepler movement of the planets around the sun, Street calculated planetary tables , which he published in several works together with theoretical considerations about the movement of the stars.
The lunar crater Street is named after him.
