Thomas Wartmann

Thomas Wartmann (* 1953 in Germany ) is a German director , producer and screenwriter of documentary films .

Wartmann studied journalism in Munich and film directing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles . As a journalist , he made several journeys for magazines (including Geo , Tempo and Merian ) through Asia, Africa and South America. He has received several awards at international film festivals for his films on UNESCO World Heritage . His first cinema documentary Between the Lines - India's Third Gender had its world premiere in August 2005.

Today Wartmann lives in Munich with his wife and three children.
