Thomas Weber (artist)

Thomas Weber (* 1965 in Schärding ) is an Austrian painter and graphic artist .

Life

After graduating from the technical college for commercial graphics in Linz in 1983, he completed the master class in design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 1985 and 1986 and the master class in painting and graphics at the University for artistic and industrial design in Linz .

During his art studies he worked on the restoration of church altars and has been a freelance artist since 2001. Since 1986 he has participated in exhibitions in Upper Austria and Vienna .

From 2007 he organized the exhibition series Skulptur Reichersberg at Stift Reichersberg together with Andreas Sagmeister (sculpture - figurative, 2007, sculpture - vegetative, 2009, sculpture - concrete, 2010). The Volkskundehaus in Ried im Innkreis dedicated a special exhibition to him in 2009. He lives and works in Schärding and is a member of the Innviertel artists' guild .
