Thomas Weber (born September 11, 1967 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( NEOS ). From 2015 to September 2018 he was regional manager of NEOS Vienna. On September 27, 2018, he was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Life

Thomas Weber worked as an information officer in an IT company from 1999 to 2015 . He has been involved with NEOS since 2013 and was the country coordinator, head of the network policy group , organizer of the monthly LGBTI working meetings and district coordinator in the tenth district of Vienna, Favoriten . From 2015 to September 2018 he acted as NEOS Vienna regional manager, where he was responsible for the organization and the organizational structure. Philipp Kern was appointed as his successor as country manager.

On September 27, 2018, in the 20th electoral term , he was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council , where he is responsible for the areas of petitions and citizen participation, housing, LGBTIQ, Europe and international affairs, and culture. He succeeded Beate Meinl-Reisinger , who is moving to the National Council .

In the state and municipal council elections in Vienna 2020 he is running for eighth place on the list.
