Thomas Campbell Webster (born December 25, 1909 in Los Angeles , † January 31, 1981 there ) was an American sailor .

successes

Thomas Webster, who for the California Yacht Club sailed, was in 1932 in Los Angeles at the Olympic Games in the 8-meter class Olympic champion . He was a crew member of the boat Angelita , led by skipper Owen Churchill , which won all four races, taking first place ahead of the only other boat, the Santa Maria from Canada. In the eliminations for the Games, Webster had been a crew member of Pierpont Davis , who finished second behind Owen Churchill. Churchill took all of Davis' crew members to the games as substitutes and also used them in individual races, so that in addition to Webster, Churchill and Davis also John Biby , Alphonse Burnand , Kenneth Carey , William Cooper , Karl Dorsey , John Huettner , Alan Morgan , Richard Moore and Robert Sutton received the gold medal.
