Career

Ebbesvik began his motorsport career in karting in 1994 . After a karting track near him was closed, he had to suspend his career until his 18th birthday when he received a driver's license. He was active in karting until 2004. In 2005 he switched to the single-seater racing and was sixth in the British Formula Ford . In 2006 the Norwegian stayed in the championship and finished fourth overall with a win. In 2007 he moved to Team West-Tec in the Spanish Formula 3 championship . While he finished 16th overall, he won the Copa de España . In September, he completed tests in the GP2 series and became the first Norwegian in a GP2 car. In 2008 Ebbesvik contested his second season in Spanish Formula 3. He won two races and finished the season in tenth place in the overall standings. For 2009 Ebbesvik tried to switch to the GP2 series or the World Series by Renault . Since he could not find sponsors for either series, the Norwegian stayed with Team West-Tec in the championship, which had since been renamed the European F3 Open . He again decided a race for himself and improved to fifth overall in the overall standings. He also took part in two Formula Le Mans races.

In 2010 Ebbesvik turned his back on formula racing and switched to Team Bruichladdich in the Le Mans Series , in which he drove a Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S / 2 with his teammates Karim Ojjeh and Tim Greaves . His team finished the season in fifth place in the LMP2 classification. It was also planned that the Norwegian would make his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans , but this did not happen due to an injury.
