Thore Schäck

Thore Schäck (* 1985 ) is a German HR manager and politician of the FDP .

biography

Family, education and work

Schäck grew up in Bremen . He attended the Free Waldorf School in Bremen. He passed his Abitur there in 2005 and then completed his community service in Bremen at the Fritz-Gansberg special school for children with autism .

From 2006 he completed a degree in business administration at the University of Bayreuth , which he completed in 2009. During this time he was the chairman of the student council and spokesman for the economics students.

Then studied Schäck business psychology at the University of Bremen and was 2012 Master of Science. During his studies, Schäck completed professional positions a. a. in Berlin and Bavaria.

After completing his studies, Schäck worked for a year as a management consultant in Frankfurt am Main . Schäck then returned to Bremen and over the next five years built up the HR department of a Bremen startup with around 150 employees. Since September 2018, Schäck has headed the human resources department of the Hamburg company About You .

politics

Schäck initially volunteered for the SPD Bremen for a short time in the Horn-Achterdiek local association and ran unsuccessfully in 2014 at number 10 on the SPD list for the advisory board in the 2015 2015 2015 Bremen citizenship elections . He then left the SPD.

Schäck has since been a member of the Young Liberals and a member of the FDP Bremen . In April 2017 he was elected as the new state chairman at the state members' meeting of the Junge Liberalen Bremen and confirmed in office for another year in 2018.

In the spring of 2017, Schäck was elected as an assessor to the state board of the FDP Bremen and co-opted to the board of the district association Bremen-Ost. In spring 2018 he was elected to the executive board of the FDP Bremen and later as deputy district chairman of the Bremen-Ost district association.

For the 2017 federal election , Schäck ran for the FDP in fifth place on the state list, but missed the entry into the Bundestag .

At the state members' meeting of the Junge Liberalen Bremen in November 2018, Schäck was nominated as their top candidate for the 2019 general election, and the FDP state party conference in November 2018 put him in third place on the state list. In May 2019 Schäck received a mandate for the Bremen citizenship .

He is the financial policy spokesman for the FDP. In addition, he is represented as a member of the following bodies:

  • Controlling committees
  • Budget and Finance Committees
  • Audit Committees
  • Deputation for mobility, construction and urban development
  • Committee on Citizen Participation, Civic Engagement and Advisory Boards
