Thorkild Demuth (born March 28, 1927 in Ravsted , Syddanmark ; † June 3, 2017 in Tønder Kommune , Syddanmark) was a Danish actor , director and puppeteer .

biography

Thorkild Demuth completed an acting training at the theater school of the Odense Theater from 1950 to 1952 and was a student of Albert Luther . He made his stage actor debut on December 15, 1950 as Triddelfitz in the play Landmandsliv . He worked at the Odense Theater from 1950 to 1954. He then settled in Copenhagen , where he was hired as the head of the children's and youth department of Danish radio at Danmarks Radio . Later some of them produced some programs there themselves, including Ingrid og Lillebror , Magnus Tagmus and Torvet . He also gave his voice to the popular Danish radio program Anna og Lotte .

In 1973 he left Copenhagen again, quit his job with Danish radio and moved to South Jutland. There he founded a children's and puppet theater, with which he toured all of Denmark. Besides a few other occasional theater appearances and appearances in Danish film and television productions as an actor, he has since worked mainly in children's theater. Demuth wrote the screenplay for the Danish television series Kikkassen in 1965 and directed two episodes of the Torvet series in 1981.

Thorkild Demuth was married to the actress Annelise Brynée Demuth, née Sørensen, since 1955.
