Ravsted ( German Rapstedt ) is a Danish town with 440 inhabitants in the Aabenraa municipality , Region Syddanmark .
Education and culture
There are two schools in Ravstedt, the Danish Ravsted Børneunivers with kindergarten and day care and the German School Rapstedt.
The whitewashed late Romanesque village church was probably built around 1250. The tower is from the 15th century. The stepped gable of the late medieval armory dates from 1743. The late Gothic winged altar from around 1475 was restored in 1985.
Economy and Transport
There is a supermarket in the village. The larger farms are outside the village center.
The secondary route 401 Løgumkloster - Tinglev - Sønderborg runs right through the village .
Alslev Kro station on the Bredebro – Løgumkloster – Rødekro railway line, seven kilometers north-west, was closed in 1936 along with the entire Bredebro – Rødekro line . The station Bylderup-Bov on the railway line Tønder-Tinglev was closed in 2001 for freight after the passenger already ended 1971st Since then, the Tinglev station on the Fredericia – Flensburg line has been the nearest railway station.
