Bolderslev (German: Bollersleben) is a municipality in Syddanmark on Jutland . It belongs to the parish of Bjolderup Sogn and the municipality of Aabenraa . While the Bjolderup Sogn parish is home to 1825 people, the municipality of Bolderslev has only 1174 inhabitants (2019).
The center of the extensive municipality is 23 kilometers from the German border, 12 kilometers from Aabenraa and 7 kilometers from Tinglev .
The history of the Bolderslev settlement goes back to pagan times. From this it could be concluded that the place name Bolderslev means Balder's inheritance . Later settlements come from more recent times, such as the Stone Age or the Bronze Age , which is evident from the existence of burial mounds such as B. Toppehøj and Bredhøj in the southwest of the municipality results.
After the construction of the Vojens - Flensborg railway in 1864 , Bolderslev received a station for the connection to the rail link between Tinglev and Rødekro . The station has since been closed and the building demolished. However, a double-track railway line Kolding - Hamburg is still located within the local limits . Since there is also an important Boy - Hellevad thoroughfare , it is divided into three parts.
Three kilometers west of Bolderslev is the parish of Bjolderup Sogn with the associated parish church.
About three kilometers east of Bolderslev there is a remarkable thing site , Urnehoved tingsted, which is one of the old landmarks in South Jutland.
