Thorsten Bagschik

Thorsten Bagschik (* 1969 ) is a German economist . Since September 2017 he has been managing director of SRH Hochschulen Berlin GmbH. It is the supporting company of the SRH Hochschule Berlin including its campus in Dresden, the SRH University of Popular Arts (hdpk) and the design academy berlin , SRH University for Communication and Design.

Thorsten Bagschik studied business administration at the University of Paderborn , at Chapman University , at St. Olaf College and at the University of Kansas . At the Technical University of Freiberg , he assisted at the Department of Business Administration of Egon Franck , where he with summa cum laude for Dr. rer. pole. PhD. He was also employed as a research assistant at the Research Center for Innovation Economics at the TU Bergakademie and at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research in Karlsruhe . He worked in industry and as a strategy consultant for an American consulting company.

From 2005 to 2008 Thorsten Bagschik taught as a professor for business administration and international management at the SRH Hochschule Heidelberg . He was then managing director at the BiTS University in Iserlohn and from December 2010 its president. From 2011, Bagschik was also the managing director of Laureate Germany Holding GmbH and other subsidiaries, including the Berlin Technical College of Art (btk). Before moving to Berlin, he took over the interim management of the EBS University of Economics and Law in Wiesbaden and Oestrich-Winkel from August 2016 to April 2017 .
