Jochen Jung
Jochen Jung ( pseudonym : Gottlieb Amsel ; born January 5, 1942 in Frankfurt am Main ) is an Austrian publisher , writer and art collector.
Life
Jochen Jung grew up in Eckernförde . He studied German and art history at the universities in Munich , Tübingen , Zurich and Berlin . In 1972 he received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Munich with a thesis on the writer Wilhelm Lehmann . From 1973 to 1975 Jung worked as an editor at Moos-Verlag and from 1975 at the Salzburg Residenz-Verlag . From 1983 to 2000 he was managing director of this publishing house. In 2000 he founded his own Jung-und-Jung publishing house .
In addition to his publishing activities, Jochen Jung is the author of narrative works and the editor of numerous anthologies .
Jochen Jung has been a member of the PEN Center Germany since 2001 . In 2003 he received the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art, First Class, and in 2005 the Salzburg Economy Book Prize . He has been a member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature since 2014 .
Insights into the art collection of Jochen Jung gave u. a. in March / April 2018 the Salzburg gallery Welz; it showed drawings and tempera by his colleague and friend Walter Pichler .
