Thorsten Storm (born October 6, 1964 in Kellinghusen ) is a German handball manager and former handball player .

As a player he began his active time with MTV Leck . He then came to the Bundesliga club SG Weiche-Handewitt via TSV Rot-Weiß Niebüll . He stayed in Flensburg for four years until he switched to THW Kiel for a season . In 1990 , the right winger ended his career as a player in Kiel .

After his active time at THW Kiel, the trained advertising salesman worked as a marketing manager until 2002. Storm then moved to league competitor SG Flensburg-Handewitt , where he became managing director. During his time as Managing Director, Flensburg won the German Championship in 2004 and the DHB Cup three times ( 2003 , 2004 and 2005 ). After his contract in Flensburg was not extended in July 2006, Storm switched to Rhein-Neckar Löwen as managing director on July 1, 2007 . In the meantime, there was speculation about a move to HSV Hamburg . With the Rhein-Neckar Löwen he originally had a contract until 2012, which was extended early in 2010 to 2015. After it became known in June 2014 that he had signed a contract as managing director at THW Kiel, which will be valid from summer 2015, his contract with the Löwen was terminated on August 31, 2014. That is why he took up his position at Kiel on November 1st, 2014. His contract with THW, which ran until June 30, 2019, was not extended. Storm then became director of marketing and sales for an esports company .
