The film portrays the street artist SK Thoth (actually Stephen Kaufman), who performs his own plays in a language he has developed. He wears a bizarre outfit when he performs.

In 2002 the film received an Oscar in the Best Documentary Short Film category.
The film won two other prizes. He won the audience award at the Santa Cruz Film Festival and the Grand Jury Prize at the Boston Independent Film Festival .
