The Three Star Club is a football club from Lalitpur in Nepal . The club plays in the highest league in the country, the A-Division League . The home stadium is actually the Lagankhel Stadium, but all league games are played in the Dasrath Stadium in Kathmandu . The greatest successes of the club, which was founded in 1954, are the championships it won in 1997, 1998 and 2004. By winning the championship in 2004, the club qualified for the first edition of the AFC President's Cup . At least the semi-finals were reached there and they were only eliminated after a penalty shoot-out against Dordoi-Dynamo .
