history
Thrifty was founded in 1958. In 1989 it was sold to Chrysler . From 1990 there was a close cooperation with the other Chrysler subsidiary Dollar . Thrifty and Dollar were transferred to an independent subsidiary Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group in 1990 . In Germany, a contract with Thrifty Rent A Car was signed in 2002 with the licensee Terstappen .
