Throsk ( Gäl. : Badan Deathach , German "thicket in the Mist") is a Scottish settlement in Stirling . The village is on the A905 road east of Fallin and near the River Forth . The 2001 census put the population at 231.
Throsk is the former base of the Royal Navy's Bandeath weapons depot . The base closed in 1978, is now used as an industrial park and is owned by the local council. Many of the original ammunition bunkers have remained in Throsk, as has a loading crane.
