The AFC Thun Tigers are an American football club in Thun that currently plays in the National League B.

history

The AFC was founded on May 5, 2000 by former Bern Grizzlies players . The following year, the Thun Tigers became a member of the Swiss American Football Association (SAFV). In the same year they also started playing in the National League A. From this, however, in 2004 they had to relegate to the newly created National League B. In 2005 the club reached the final of the National League B, but lost it to the Bienna Jets . A year later they repeated their entry into the finals after taking first place in the National League B and were now able to win this against the Landquart Broncos . As a result, the team played in 2007 in the National League A. Already after this one season, however, the team rose again to the second highest league.

The youth team U19 became Swiss champions in 2014, 2017 and 2018.
