Tibor P. Nagy
Tibor P. Nagy Jr. (born April 29, 1949 in Budapest ) is Vice Undersecretary of State for African Affairs in the US State Department (Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs) . From 1996 to 2002 he was US ambassador to Guinea and Ethiopia for three years .
He was Vice Provost of International Affairs at Texas Tech University , where he graduated in 1972. He then completed the postgraduate course in administrative sciences ( Master of Science in Administration ) at George Washington University and joined the Foreign Service in 1978.
Nagy came to the USA in 1957 as a political refugee from Hungary .
