The Tiger is a high-speed ferry that connects the West Frisian islands of Terschelling and Vlieland with Harlingen .

The ship

The catamaran initially belonged to the Universal Aboitiz company and was commissioned as Jet Stream I in June 2002 , but was renamed Supercat 2002 again in the same month . In July 2002 the ship was transferred to the Philippine shipping company Jet Propelled and renamed Tricat 2 .

On July 10, 2007 the shipping company Doeksen acquired the ship and put it into operation on March 27, 2008 as Tiger in Terschelling. Since then, the catamaran has been operating several times a day between Harlingen and Terschelling.
