The Tiger Hill is a hill in the Mountaineer Range of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises in the southwest section of Spatulate Ridge on the Borchgrevink coast . Its southwest and northeast flanks are steep, while it slopes more gently to the southeast towards Apostrophe Island in Lady Newnes Bay .
Scientists from an Italian Antarctic expedition that ran from 1996 to 1997 discovered it. It is named after the banding of its rock, which is reminiscent of a tiger skin .
