The Tighe Rock is a ledge on the Walgreen Coast of West Antarctica Ellsworthland . It rises 24 km northwest of Mount Moses on the western edge of the Hudson Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Robert F. Tighe, electrical engineer at Byrd Station from 1964 to 1965.
